Composing

In addition to composing music for local performance and his own recordings, Phil also writes to commission. Having written in the past for Barbara Dickson, Julien Temple, Michael Yentob, Adrian Henri, Roger McGough, two youth orchestras and a brass band as well as for his own bands including the Korgis, his styles are eclectic, to say the least.

The ‘Big Fish’ CDs and the ‘13irteen’ CD, extracts of which you can hear elsewhere on this site, contain many examples. There is also a CD of words and music from the latest KAG Festival (November 2010) available on request, containing many new pieces by Phil. He works at his own ‘Kriti Amnesia’, Sound Studio in Crete and is always happy to discuss any kind of musical project with you.
